Double award for Glas Italia at the 2024 edition of the ADA - Archiproducts Design Awards.

Promoted by Archiproducts and now in its ninth edition, the ADA Awards celebrate worldwide design excellence, the synergy between designers and brands and their creativity.

The international jury has awarded the prize for the ‘Furniture’ category to the KAZIMIR shelf collection designed by Michael Anastassiades and the prestigious ‘2024 Sustainability Award’ to the BABAR tables designed by Patricia Urquiola; an award dedicated to products that meritoriously integrate recycling, sustainability and ecological transition policies.

KAZIMIR is a series of furnishings composed of shelves, consoles and a low table made by sculpturally superimposing slabs of a special green or extra-clear double-sided acid-etched glass.

With BABAR Patricia Urquiola and Glas Italia continue on the path of valorisation and reuse of recycled glass, already started in 2022 with the Simoon collection. BABAR tables, coffee tables and consoles are made of a special 100% recycled glass grit, blended with polymers partly of plant origin and obtained from renewable sources. Each piece is hand-made and characterized by an irregular surface and geometry, featuring an organic and unique appearance.
